DMG Lumière Driven by Innovation
B

orn from the desires of a cinematographer, a
gaffer and a LED specialist, DMG Lumière is a
unique mix of knowledge and expertise, driven by
innovation.
DMG Lumière's vision today remains the same,
to create fixtures encompassing a balance of size,
power and versatility, without compromising
standards of quality. They sensed the need for
robust, soft lights, that were also lightweight, durable
and user-friendly. It was with these objectives that
they created their best-selling fixture, the SL1 Switch.
The Switch Series now includes the MINI Switch and
the MAXI Switch.
The MINI Switch is 85watts, with dimensions of 58 x
20 x 2cm (23 x 7.8 x 0.75 inches) and weighing 1.7kg
(3.7lb). The SL1 Switch is 175watts with dimensions of
113 x 20 x 2cm (45 x 7.8 x 0.75 inches) and weighing
3.4kg (7.5lb). The MINI and SL1 Switch are the perfect
on location light, incorporating their lightweight and
slim frame, making them easy to transport.
Completing the Switch Series is the MAXI Switch,
which is a much wider and brighter source. At
520watts and a light surface of 120 x 75 x 2cm (48
x 30 x 0.75 inches) and yet still weighing only 12.5kg
(27lb). The MAXI Switch is also an engineering marvel
as it is a bi-folding fixture, making it also easily
transportable. It also has the additional option to
be split into two separate panels, which can then be
controlled independently from each other.
All DMG Lumière lights are bi-color, ranging from

3000°K to 5600°K with a high CRI rating (>94), and
can be run off either AC or DC power sources. Fitted
with wired DMX / Wi-Fi / LAN / Wireless DMX with
Lumen Radio TX-RX chip, you can control all DMG
lights from your tablet or smartphone.
As the technician and their fast-paced needs on
set are always the focus, usability and flexibility are
of paramount necessity. Therefore, as a result, all
accessories, power options and mounts are designed
to fit directly onto the light in seconds. From German
made DoP Choice Egg crates and Soft Boxes, Barn

Doors and several mounting options, DMG has
ensured their user's maximum versatility.
DMG Lumière products are now sold in over 25
countries worldwide and currently have offices in
France, Canada and China. All fixtures are designed
and engineered in-house at French head office in
Lyon. DMG offers a three-year global warranty on the
complete range.
DMG Lumière is exhibiting at IBC in Amsterdam on
stand 12A40.
