Software: MAXON Cinema 4D Release 19

M

axon has announced Cinema
4D Release 19 (R19). This next
generation of MAXON's professional 3D
application delivers both great tools and
enhancements artists can put to use
immediately and provides a peek into
the foundations for the future.
Powerful developments have been
made to viewport performance, a new
Sound Effector and additional features
for Voronoi Fracturing have been added
to the MoGraph toolset, a new Spherical
Camera introduced, the integration of
AMD's ProRender technology and more.
Designed to serve individual artists
as well as large studio environments,
Release 19 offers a fast, easy, stable
and streamlined workflow to meet
today's challenges in the content

creation markets: especially general
design, motion graphics, VFX, VR/AR
and all types of visualization.
With Cinema 4D Release 19, MAXON
also introduces a number of reengineered foundational technologies,
which the company will continue to
develop and bring to maturity in future
versions. These include core software
modernization efforts, a new modeling
core, deeply-integrated GPU Rendering
for Windows and Mac, and OpenGL
capabilities in BodyPaint 3D, MAXON's
professional paint and texturing
toolset.
Cinema 4D Release 19, available for
both Mac OS X and Windows, is due for
release in September, 2017.

Grip: MSE Colors DUTTI DOLLY

M

atthews Studio Equipment's DUTTI DOLLY, the
dolly known for its unique and elegant design
is getting an upgrade to its color palette.
Anodized blue and green have been added to the
line up along with the original anodized silver, red
and black.
Originally designed by James "Dutti" Saldutti, the
DUTTI DOLLY can be mounted on the ground, on
stands or apple boxes, over or underslung without
the wobble seen on other small dollies.
The compact footprint is easy to set-up and
transport, yet large and durable enough for standing
or sitting applications, and is compatible with
mounting tripods, bazookas, tilt plates and other
accessories.
It rolls extremely low to the ground at under
2-inches in height, rides on eight inline skate wheels

mounted in pairs to the ½in thick aluminum plate.
DUTTI DOLLY will roll directly on any smooth
surface, speed rail or on tubing found in a local
hardware store. It fits into tight spaces such as
airplane and bus aisles.

The rigging capabilities are endless due to the
numerous tapped holes on the dolly board.

Camera Accessories: Vocas Top Handgrip Pro

T

he Top Handgrip Pro is designed
for people who like a closed
handle for that sense of extra
security and safety when using a
heavy set-up.
The handle has many mounting
options for ¼in and cold-shoe accessories. A carrying strap can also be
attached.
The core of the modular system is
the closed handle. There is a choice
of various mounting brackets. Alternatively, a choice can be made
between a single or multiple handle
fixing points. When using a single
mounting bracket, the carrying
weight reaches 40kg. With multiple

mounting brackets, this increases to
75kg.
When using a single mounting
bracket, a clamping block can also be
mounted so that 15mm top bars can be
used. The clamping blocks are available in 15 and 19mm. If two mounting
brackets are used then two clamping
blocks can also be mounted to provide
more stability and carrying capacity.
The 19mm dividable clamping block
designed for the top handgrip Pro can
be split into two single 19mm rod holders. In this way, a single 19mm rod can
be mounted on two mounting brackets
(front and rear).
